Abstract submission guidelines

Abstracts are encouraged and will be accepted as platforms or posters to be displayed at the meeting. We are particularly interested in posters regarding research, case reports as well as Service Development, Quality Improvement, Education and Training under the following topics:

  • Acute Stroke Management
  • Cognitive emotional psychological
  • Pre Hospital Management
  • Rehabilitation
  • Secondary Prevention and TIA
  • Diagnosis and Imaging
  • Please read the instructions below before
  • preparing your abstract.


You must be able to attend the event in person for posters to be accepted.

Your abstract must include:

  • A title
  • Please identify Submitting author who should state their name in the fields First name and Last Name as point of contact about the abstract.
  • Please identify Presenting author if different to submitting author and specify if you would like the option to give an oral present on your findings or submit poster only
  • Names of authors in the format initials then surname, using capitals without any full stops and with the lead author first separated by a semi colon: e.g. J Smith1; P Jones1; T Renwick 2 .
  • Provenances (i.e. place of work) in the format 1. Southampton University; 2. Dept of Elderly Care, Cardiff University Hospital.
  • Contact details (including telephone number and email address) of the lead author/submitter.


The abstract text should be no longer than 300 words and must be in English. Where possible, please use the four standard sub-headings of:

  1. Introduction
  2. Method
  3. Results
  4. Conclusion(s).
